Roland Haas is the senior investment professional of the Slovak Post Privatisation Fund. Roland founded EFM in 1994 and has managed listed and unlisted funds in Central Europe and Romania. Before founding EFM, he was Managing Director of a Slovak privatisation fund and head of Investment Bank Austria's Research department in Slovakia. Roland began his career with GiroCredit, ultimately becoming co-head of equity and derivative sales. He received his degree in Economics from Vienna University.
Juraj Koman is the Director of EFM's Slovak branch office. Before joining EFM, Juraj was Professor of Finance at the Graduate School of Business in Prague. Prior to that position, he worked with the media and entertainment group Bonton and was responsible for mergers and acquisitions in Central Europe (Prague based). Juraj later worked as CFO of Globtel, a leading Slovak mobile telecom operator (renamed Orange Slovakia) where he made a significant contribution to the company's growth and profitability. Juraj holds a MSc in Economics and Management from Slovak Technical University in Bratislava and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
Mark Kaltenbacher is Managing Director of the EBAI Fund. Before joining EFM in 2002, Mark worked for Merrill Lynch as a securities analyst covering the chemicals industry. Prior to that, he worked for a leading automotive supplier, holding various positions including operations manager, financial controller and international projects manager in various parts of the world including Hungary, South Africa and Mexico. Mark holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School.
